Humans are just barely in the habitable zone regarding the Sun...like believing the Sun revolved around the Earth (for which people were torture and killed to say otherwise) and that we are the only life form in the universe (which still gets you laughed at), here is one more example that we are just a small part of the picture. SEPARATE news is a HUGE problem regarding what is happening with  catastrophic climate change events...while the world focuses on Fort McMurray in Canada-the Himalayas are on fire-same cause- a warmish winter which made them susceptible to massive prolonged burning...The fires began as early as February after a dry Winter and two years of depleted monsoonal rains. They continued to build through March and April.

I am seeing a lot of shame blaming articles today on the insensitivity of people, like me, who are identifying the horrific fires and evacuations, destruction of massive forest and no doubt precious animal life as well, as karmic blowback for the greed and disrespect for nature in Fort McMurray, Alberta that led to this disaster. Facts are facts for one-it does not show a lack of empathy - and it is a WARNING for other areas where greed and a disrespect for the natural environment continues-this is not some isolated tragedy-and moreover the  greenhouse umbrella  of  catastrophic climate change due to manmade pollution for decades. As I said when I began this blog, we are what we create and this environmental crisis is a crisis of consciousness, an identity crisis-the result of the brutality of greed instead of balance and the brutality of nature as OTHER.

It matters how news is reported- the fast sweeping wildfires ,which have increased 5 fold since they began last Sunday, causing 88,000 people to evacuate in Alberta Canada, are because of  last years mild winter due to effects of  man made climate change-dryer conditions make the ground pure kindle. There are virtually no articles in mainstream media stating that (this is the only one)-focusing rather on what might have started it (unknown) and the mass evacuation stories. Playing down details and leaving true sources unidentified keep the public ignorant for more of the same occurring and their bewilderment. Lots of residents were shocked how quickly this fire spread.

If people could identify the source as man made climate change, simply for selfish profit, how would they respond to the many, many catastrophic events taking place on the planet now?
